Advocate, wife, mother-in-law, car driver killed in Gazipur accident

The deceased were identified as Advocate Imam Hossain Chowdhury, 40, his wife Nazma Begum, 35, and his mother Sharifunnesa, 55, of Kotwali thana in Sylhet and their car driver..
Police and witnesses said a Bhairab-bound passenger bus rammed a Dhaka-bound private car in Baligaon Chowdhurybari area at around 7:30am, leaving four dead on the spot.
Another car passenger and advocate Imam`s father-in-law, Arash Ali, 65, was seriously injured in the accident. About 14-15 passengers of the bus were also wounded as the bus "skidded off the road into a ditch", the sources said.
"In the head-on collision, the car was reduced to a wreck," Kaliganj thana OC Mohammad Golam Kibria told banglanews, quoting witnesses.
The dead bodies were sent to Gazipur Sadar Hospital morgue. The injured were admitted to Kaliganj upazila health complex and local clinics.
