The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index gained 113.71 points or 2.07 percent to close at 5603.59.
Of the 261 traded issues, 231 advanced, 26 declined and four remained unchanged.
The turnover stood at Tk 4.8 billion.
Meanwhile, Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) Selective Categories Index closed at 10092.32, up 225.63 points or 2.28 percent.
Out of the 194 traded issues, 175 gained, 17 lost and two showed no change.
The turnover stood at Tk 609 million.
