শেয়ারবাজার :::: দেশের দুই পুঁজিবাজারে বুধবার চাঙাভাবের মধ্য দিয়েই লেনদেন শেষ হয়েছে। আগের কার্যদিবসের ধারাবাহিকতায় এদিন উভয় বাজারে বেশিরভাগ প্রতিষ্ঠানের দাম ও সূচক বেড়েছে। তবে আগের দিনের চেয়ে লেনদেন কিছুটা কমেছে।
এদিন প্রথম আধঘণ্টায় ঢাকা স্টক এক্সচেঞ্জের (ডিএসই) সূচক বাড়ে ৯৩ ও চট্টগ্রাম স্টক এক্সচেঞ্জের(সিএসই) ১২৮ পয়েন্ট। একই সঙ্গে লেনদেন হওয়া প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলোর মধ্যে ডিএসইতে ১৯২টি ও সিএসইতে ৭৯টির দাম বেড়েছিল।
দ্বিতীয় ঘণ্টা শেষেও শেয়ারের দর ও সূচক বাড়তে থাকে। তবে প্রথম আধঘণ্টার তুলনায় তা ছিল সামান্য কম। দুপুর ১টা তিন মিনিট পর্যন্ত ডিএসইতে ২০২টি প্রতিষ্ঠানের দাম ও সূচক বাড়ে ৬৪ পয়েন্ট। অন্যদিকে সিএসইতে ১০৪টি প্রতিষ্ঠানের দাম ও সূচক ১০৮ পয়েন্ট বাড়ে।
এরই ধারাবাহিকতায় দিনের লেনদেন শেষে বৃহস্পতিবার ডিএসইতে ২০৫টি প্রতিষ্ঠানের দাম ও সাধারণ সূচক বেড়েছে ৬৩ পয়েন্ট। সিএসইতেও একই চিত্র। দেশের দ্বিতীয় বৃহত্তম এ পুঁজিবাজারে এদিন ১১৬টি প্রতিষ্ঠানের দাম ও সূচক বেড়েছে ৭৩ পয়েন্ট।
ডিএসইর ওয়েবসাইট সূত্রে জানা যায়, বৃহস্পতিবার ডিএসইতে লেনদেন হয় মোট ২৬০টি প্রতিষ্ঠানের। এর মধ্যে দাম বেড়েছে ২০৫টির, কমেছে ৪৩টির এবং অপরিবর্তিত রয়েছে ১২টি প্রতিষ্ঠানের দাম।
এদিন ডিএসইর সাধারণ সূচক আগের দিনের চেয়ে ৬৩ পয়েন্ট বেড়ে ৫ হাজার ৮০৮ পয়েন্টে উন্নীত হয়। সার্বিক সূচক ৫৩ পয়েন্ট বেড়ে দাঁড়ায় ৪ হাজার ৮৩১ পয়েন্টে।
বুধবার ডিএসইতে লেনদেন হয় মোট ৪৪৪ কোটি ৬৭ লাখ ৮১ হাজার টাকার শেয়ার ও ইউনিট। যা আগের দিনের চেয়ে ১২ কোটি ১৮ লাখ ৬৯ হাজার টাকা কম।
এদিন লেনদেনের ভিত্তিতে (টাকায়) ডিএসইর শীর্ষ ১০ প্রতিষ্ঠান ছিল- ইউসিবিএল, লঙ্কাবাংলা ফিন্যান্স, স্কয়ার ফার্মা, সিটি ব্যাংক, এমআই সিমেন্ট, ওয়ান ব্যাংক, বেক্সিমকো, সিএমসি কামাল, এনবিএল ও পূবালী ব্যাংক।
দাম বৃদ্ধির দিক দিয়ে প্রধান ১০ প্রতিষ্ঠান ছিল- সাফকো স্পিনিংস, এপেক্স স্পিনিং, চিটাগাং ভেজিটেবল, জেমিনি সি ফুড, প্রাইম ব্যাংক, ওয়ান ব্যাংক, ফ্যাস ফিন্যান্স অ্যান্ড ইনভেস্টমেন্ট, ইউসিবিএল, ইবিএল ও রহিম টেক্সটাইল।
সবচেয়ে বেশি দাম কমা ১০ প্রতিষ্ঠান ছিল- সমতা লেদার, ফিনিক্স ফিন্যান্স ফার্স্ট মি.ফা., ফার্স্ট আইসিবি মি.ফা., মেঘনা পেট, পিএইচপি ফার্স্ট মি.ফা., এআইবিএল ফার্স্ট ইসলামিক মি.ফা., কে অ্যান্ড কিউ, সোনারগাঁও টেক্সটাইলস, জুট স্পিনার্স ও নিটল ইন্স্যুরেন্স।
সিএসইর ওয়েবসাইট সূত্রে জানা যায়, বৃহস্পতিবার সিএসইতে লেনদেন হয় মোট ১৮১টি প্রতিষ্ঠানের। এর মধ্যে দাম বেড়েছে ১১৬টির, কমেছে ৫১টির এবং অপরিবর্তিত রয়েছে ১৪টি প্রতিষ্ঠানের দাম।
এদিন সিএসইর সাধারণ সূচক ৭৩ পয়েন্ট বেড়ে দাঁড়ায় ১০ হাজার ৩৫২ পয়েন্টে।
লেনদেন হয় মোট ৬৩ কোটি ৬২ লাখ ৭৫ হাজার ২৮১ টাকার শেয়ার ও ইউনিট। আগের কার্যদিবস মঙ্গলবার সিএসইতে লেনদেন হয়েছে ৭৫ কোটি ৩৫ লাখ ২৭ হাজার ৩৮৪ টাকা।
Their comments came as The Daily Star and DHL Express jointly prepare to stage the Bangladesh Business Awards ceremony to disclose this year's winning companies, enterprises and entrepreneurs that are making big strides in business.
“Definitely, any recognition gives a better feeling to the awardee,” said KM Rezaul Hasanat, chairman and managing director of Viyellatex Group, who won the Business Person of the Year 2007 award. “But the business award has given me another sort of good feeling. It has recognised my presence in the business world.”
Hasanat said the business award is no typical award. “It has a specialty. Its jury board includes top officials from the Bangladesh Bank and National Board of Revenue. They eagerly go through all the details and assess the applicants.”
“The judgment part is quite transparent, ” he said.
“Probably, I am the youngest businessman who won the award in the category. I only had passed a decade in business when I achieved the award. So the accolade early in the career gave me immense support,” he said.
Hasanat said the award is helping him a lot in terms of business. “My reputation in the eyes of my customers and business associates has gone up.”
The turnover of Viyellatex Group stood at $190 million in 2010-2011, with its nine production units having 15,000 people.
Sabrina Islam, chief executive officer of Reflections, won the award in 2009 in the “Outstanding Woman in Business” category.
Set up in 1998, her business pioneered in decorative and architectural art glass market in Bangladesh, and Reflections is now the country's leading producer of designer glass products.
“I felt very good. In Bangladesh, we did not have so many recognitions to this stature. It has been a major achievement for a small entrepreneur like me,” she said.
Sabrina said the award helped her a lot. “In one hand, people in general came to know for the first time about me and what I do. On the other hand, I received a lot of enquiries about my products. Orders increased sharply.”
She said there are a few awards in Bangladesh that encourage the country's growing number of women entrepreneurs.
Sabrina said the process to pick the winners is praiseworthy. “A well-known company Nielsen is conducting independent assessment. The jury board is also widely
acceptable.”
Reflections has three showrooms, including one in Chittagong, employing about 25 people.
The eleventh edition of the awards is due to be held at Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka on Saturday.
