রাজধানীর গুলশানে ব্যাংক চেয়ারম্যানদের সংগঠন ‘বাংলাদেশ অ্যাসোসিয়েশন অব ব্যাংক (বিএবি) কার্যালয়ে এক যৌথসভায় এ সিদ্ধান্ত গৃহীত হয়।
সভায় বিএবি এবং ব্যাংক এমডিদের সংগঠন অ্যাসোসিয়েশন অব ব্যাংকার্স বাংলাদেশের (এবিবি) কর্মকর্তারা মিলে ব্যাংক আমানতের এ সর্বোচ্চ সুদের হার নির্ধারণ করেন।
সভায় চেয়ারম্যানদের পক্ষে নেতৃত্ব দেন বিএবি প্রেসিসিডেন্ট নজরুল ইসলাম মজুমদার এবং এমডিদের পক্ষে এবিবি প্রেসিডেন্ট কে মাহমুদ সাত্তার।
এছাড়া সভায় ভোগ্যপণ্য আমদানিতে ঋণ দেওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে সর্বোচ্চ ১২ শতাংশ সুদ নেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্তও হয়েছে।

At a meeting on Sunday, the committee called upon different quarters to clear their misconceptions on the deal, a parliament secretariat press statement said.
At the meeting, Energy Division told the committee that ConocoPhillips would be bound under the contract to sell all extracted gas to Bangladesh.
The contract had been signed according highest priority to national interest in order to increase energy capacity and availability.
The release said the committee expressed satisfaction over the government's visionary decisions of on-shore delivery at company's expense, employment of locals and proper pricing, and urged all quarters to clear their misconceptions about the deal.
