শেয়ারবাজার :::: ঈদের আগে শেষ কর্মদিবসে পুঁজিবাজারে আজ বৃহস্পতিবার ঊর্ধ্বমুখী প্রবণতা দেখা যাচ্ছে। লেনদেনের দেড় ঘণ্টা শেষে ঢাকা স্টক এক্সচেঞ্জে (ডিএসই) প্রায় সব প্রতিষ্ঠানের শেয়ারের দাম বেড়েছে। এর ফলে সূচক বেশ কিছুটা বেড়েছে।
ডিএসই সূত্রে জানা যায়, দুপুর ১২টায় লেনদেনের দেড় ঘণ্টা শেষে ডিএসইর সাধারণ মূল্য সূচক ৭৪.৫৪ পয়েন্ট বেড়ে ৬২০৬.০৩ পয়েন্টে দাঁড়িয়েছে। এখন পর্যন্ত স্টক এক্সচেঞ্জটিতে ২৯৮ কোটি টাকা লেনদেন হয়েছে।
সূচকের ঊর্ধ্বমুখী প্রবণতার মধ্য দিয়ে আজ লেনদেন শুরু হয়। পাঁচ মিনিটের মাথায় সূচক বাড়ে ৪৭ পয়েন্ট। আর বেলা ১১টায় সূচক ৭২ পয়েন্ট বেড়ে যায়।
এখন পর্যন্ত ডিএসইতে হাতবদল হওয়া ২৪০টি প্রতিষ্ঠানের মধ্যে দাম বেড়েছে ২০৯টি প্রতিষ্ঠানের, কমেছে ২৯টির, আর অপরিবর্তিত রয়েছে দুটি প্রতিষ্ঠানের শেয়ারের দাম।
দুপুর ১২টা পর্যন্ত লেনদেনে শীর্ষে থাকা ১০ প্রতিষ্ঠানের তালিকায় রয়েছে যমুনা অয়েল, তিতাস গ্যাস, লাফার্জ সুরমা সিমেন্ট, মেঘনা পেট্রোলিয়াম, সিটি ব্যাংক, ওয়ান ব্যাংক, ইউনাইটেড এয়ার, ইসলামী ব্যাংক, গ্রামীণফোন ও স্কয়ার ফার্মা।

A press release Wednesday said prior to taking the charge as CEO of GMG, he has successfully functioned as a principal in the Airline Practice of globally-renowned management consultants, Bain and Company, it added.
The news release also informed that Kapoor was with Temasek Holdings (Singapore) as Director of Investment and Portfolio Management and with Northwest Airlines in the USA as Director in Strategy, Finance and Operations.
“He has over 15 years of experience with various airlines around the world, both as part of management, as a consultant, and as an advisor to airline investors for airlines in Asia, Europe, North America, and Latin America,” it said.
His areas of expertise also include airline strategy and turnarounds, business model development, network design, pricing, revenue management, product development, procurement, and customer experience
He completed his MBA with major in Finance and Strategic Management from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (USA) and obtained BA in Computer Science and Government from the prestigious Ivy League institution, Dartmouth College (USA).
GMG Airlines, owned by the industrial conglomerate Beximco, started operations on April 6, 1998. It began with domestic services and launched international flights in September 2004, with flights between Chittagong and Kolkata.
With 8 international and 5 domestic destinations, GMG Airlines has got a total number of 234 flights per week. GMG’s international route consists of Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Kathmandu, Kolkata, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah and Riyadh.
In Domestic operation it serves Dhaka, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazaar, Sylhet and Jessore.
GMG Airlines now operates with three Boeing 767s and three McDouglas aircraft for the regional operation and Canadian Bombardier Dash-8 on domestic and Kolkata routes.
