বৃহস্পতিবার জাতীয় সংসদে ২০১১-১২ অর্থবছরের বাজেট উপস্থাপন করছেন অর্থমন্ত্রী।
বাজেট বক্তৃতায় মন্ত্রী বলেন, সরকার পুঁজিবাজারের বিকাশ ও স্থিতিশীলতা রক্ষায় বদ্ধপরিকর। এজন্য অনেক বিনিয়োগকারীর শেয়ার মুনাফা থেকে করযোগ্য সীমার অধিক আয় সত্ত্বেও কর অব্যাগতি সুবিধা বহাল রাখার প্রস্তাব করছি।
"বিনিয়োগকারীদের টিআইএন প্রদর্শনেরও কোনো বাধ্যবধকতা থাকছে না", বলেন তিনি।
সঞ্চয়পত্রে সুদের হার পরিবর্তনের প্রস্তাবও করেছেন অর্থমন্ত্রী। উৎসে কর কাটার হার ১০ শতাংশ থেকে কমিয়ে ৫ শতাংশ নির্ধারণের প্রস্তাব করেছেন।
Tk 1.6tln budget presented
Finance minister A M A Muhith has presented about Tk 1.64 trillion (Tk 1,635,890,000,000) national budget for fiscal 2011-12 in parliament.
It has a revenue deficit of Tk 402.66 billion.
The proposed net outlay is 24 percent more than the original budget—Tk 1.32 trillion—of the current fiscal.
The budget deficit without grants is 5 per cent and with grant 4.4 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Of Tk 402.66-billion deficit, Tk 130.58 billion would come from foreign sources, while the government would borrow from domestic sources Tk 272.08 billion.
The revenue earning and foreign grants work out to Tk 1.23 trillion (Tk 1,23,3230,000,000), of which revenue earning is Tk 1.18 trillion and foreign aid Tk 49 billion.
