দেশের দুই স্টক এক্সচেঞ্জে আজ বুধবার দিনভর সূচকের ওঠানামা ছিল চোখে পড়ার মতো। আজ ঢাকা স্টক এক্সচেঞ্জে (ডিএসই) বেড়েছে তালিকাভুক্ত দেড় শতাধিক প্রতিষ্ঠানের শেয়ারের দাম। তবে সূচক ও লেনদেন কিছুটা কমেছে। চট্টগ্রাম স্টক এক্সচেঞ্জে (সিএসই) সূচক কমলেও বেড়েছে শেয়ারের দাম। আজ ডিএসইতে সাধারণ মূল্যসূচক ১.৭৬ পয়েন্ট কমে ৬,৪৫৪.০৪ পয়েন্টে দাঁড়িয়েছে। আজ লেনদেন হওয়া ২৫৬টি প্রতিষ্ঠানের মধ্যে দাম বেড়েছে ১৭৪টির, কমেছে ৭৩টির এবং অপরিবর্তিত রয়েছে নয়টি প্রতিষ্ঠানের। মোট লেনদেন হয়েছে ৮১৯ কোটি টাকার; যা গতকালের চেয়ে ৩২৯ কোটি টাকা কম।
আজ ডিএসইতে লেনদেনে শীর্ষে থাকা ১০টি প্রতিষ্ঠান হলো—বিএসআরএম স্টিল, আফতাব অটো, কনফিডেন্স সিমেন্ট, বেক্সিমকো, কেয়া কসমেটিকস, পিএলএফএসএল, বেক্সটেক্স, গোল্ডেন সন, ইএইচএল ও ফু ওয়াং সিরামিকস।
ডিএসইতে আজ সূচক কমার মধ্য দিয়ে লেনদেন শুরু হয়। লেনদেনের আট মিনিটের দিকে সূচক ৪৩ পয়েন্ট কমে যায়। তবে ১৫ মিনিটের দিকে সূচক কিছুটা বাড়ে। এরপর আবার সূচক কমে যায়। এভাবে দিনভর সূচক ওঠানামা করে।
সিএসইতে আজ দিনের লেনদেন শেষে সূচক চার পয়েন্ট বেড়ে ১১,৬৬০ পয়েন্টে দাঁড়িয়েছে। আজ লেনদেন হওয়া ২০৩টি প্রতিষ্ঠানের মধ্যে দাম বেড়েছে ১১০টির, কমেছে ৮২টির এবং অপরিবর্তিত রয়েছে ১১টি প্রতিষ্ঠানের। মোট লেনদেন হয়েছে ৮২ কোটি টাকার; যা গতকালের চেয়ে ২৮ কোটি টাকা কম।

The officials said they would go on work abstention if their promotion issue is not resolved soon.
“The commission is not giving us the promotions we are entitled to. We don't know the reasons,” said an official, asking not to be named.
The SEC held a meeting on the promotion issue yesterday but made no decision -- the latest in a series of postponements -- after a commission member disagreed.
The SEC member said the promotion issue should be put on the table after the inquiry committee on the recent share market debacle submits its report to the government.
But other the SEC policymakers consented to the promotions.
At least 10 officials came out eligible for promotions after the government created 49 new posts in the SEC in February.
Of the 10, two directors are eligible for being executive directors, while eight deputy directors are supposed to be directors. A senior SEC official said if they are not promoted now, it will not be possible to comply with the government directive on the new posts by May.
The government created the new posts after the commission wrote to the finance ministry last year to enhance the staff strength within the SEC.
