The 23rd annual general meeting (AGM) of Reliance Insurance Limited has approved 35 per cent stock dividend for the year that ended on December 31, 2010.
The AGM was held in the city Saturday. Chairman of the board of directors of the company Abdur Rouf Chowdhury presided over the meeting, said a press release.
A large number of shareholders attended the AGM.
The AGM was told that during the year 2010 the company achieved a gross premium income of Tk 1,240,999,753 and earned pre-tax profit of Tk 287,235,678.
Taking part in the discussion, the shareholders expressed their deep appreciation for the prudent and judicious steps taken by the management in running the company.
Mr Atiqur Rahman and Mr Imran Faiz Rahman were elected directors from the public shareholders in the AGM.
