শেয়ারবাজার :::: 'ব্যাংক-বহির্ভূত আর্থিক প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলো ২০০৯ সালে ঋণ বিতরণ করেছিল সাত হাজার ২২০ কোটি টাকার। গত বছর এর পরিমাণ দাঁড়িয়েছে ১৩ হাজার ৭৫০ কোটি টাকা। এক বছরে প্রবৃদ্ধি হয়েছে প্রায় দ্বিগুণ। বিশ্লেষণ করলে দেখা যাবে, এ অর্থের অধিকাংশ বিনিয়োগ হয়েছে পুঁজিবাজারে। এ ছাড়া গৃহনির্মাণ ও এসএমই খাত আমাদের বিনিয়োগের বড় জায়গা। তবে লিজিংটাকে পণ্য হিসেবে দেখলে সে খাতে আর্থিক প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলোর বিনিয়োগ দিন দিন কমছে। যদিও আমাদের এটা মূল ব্যবসা। মোট বিনিয়োগের প্রায় ৪০ শতাংশই যায় লিজিং খাতে। বর্তমানে পুঁজিবাজারে বিনিয়োগ বেড়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে ২৫ শতাংশ।' ব্যাংকের বাইরে থাকা অর্থলগি্নকারী প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলোর বাজারের মোটামুটি একটা রূপরেখা এভাবেই দিলেন বাংলাদেশ লিজিং অ্যান্ড ফিন্যান্স কম্পানিজ অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের (বিএলএফসিএ) চেয়ারম্যান মফিজউদ্দীন সরকার। আগামী দুই থেকে তিন বছরে যদি বিকল্প তারল্য ক্ষেত্র তৈরি না করা যায়, কিংবা পুঁজিবাজার যদি আবার সক্রিয় না হয়, তাহলে ব্যাংক-বহির্ভূত আর্থিক প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলো টিকে থাকতে পারবে না বলে আশঙ্কা প্রকাশ করেছেন তিনি। এক সাক্ষাৎকারে ব্যাংক-বহির্ভূত আর্থিক প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলোর নানা সমস্যা ও সম্ভাবনার কথা বললেন তিনি।
Dhaka Stock Exchange has formed a five-member committee comprising non-elected directors to investigate the allegations raised against the bourse in a probe report on the recent stockmarket debacle.
“As per the observations of the probe report, the committee will make some recommendations to the DSE,” said a Dhaka bourse official, who was present in the meeting on Thursday.
“We will make a work plan as per the recommendations of the probe committee,” he added.
The five members are Sheikh Kabir Hossain, chairman of Bangladesh Insurance Association, Abdul Hashem, professor of accounting and information systems of Dhaka University, Abdul Hafiz Choudhury, former president of Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, AKM Rafiqul Islam, former chairman of Bangladesh Insurance Association, SM Matiur Rahman, commander, 46 independent infinity bridge of Dhaka Cantonment.
The committee will be led by Sheikh Kabir Hossain.
The DSE also formed some functional committees such as purchase committee, ICT committee, constriction and building committee, discipline committee, and selection committee.
