৭ এপ্রিল সরকারের কাছে জমা দেওয়া তদন্ত কমিটিতে সরকারি ও সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্মকর্তাদের শেয়ার লেনদেনের বিষয়ে বলা হয়েছে, সরকারি এবং নিয়ন্ত্রক সংস্থার কর্মকর্তাদের মধ্যে শেয়ার লেনদেনের প্রবণতা সাম্প্রতিক সময়ে বেড়েছে। অফিসের কাজকর্ম ফেলে কম্পিউটারে বসে শেয়ার ট্রেডিংয়ে ব্যস্ত থাকার দৃশ্য প্রতিটি অফিসেই দেখা যাচ্ছে। বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক এবং এসইসিতে এমন ঘটনা অহরহ দেখা যাচ্ছে, ব্যাংকগুলোতেও এই প্রবণতা রয়েছে। প্রতিবেদনে আরও বলা হয়েছে, মিউচুয়াল ফান্ড, আইপিওসহ বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে বাজারমূল্যের চেয়ে অনেক কমমূল্যে প্লেসমেন্টে শেয়ার প্রদান ঘুষ দেওয়ার নতুন সংস্করণ হিসেবে আবির্ভূত হয়েছে। প্রভাবশালী কর্মকর্তারা ‘বেনামি’তে প্লেসমেন্ট নিয়ে থাকেন। সরকারি তথা প্রভাবশালী মহল সুবিধা নেওয়ার ফলে নিয়ন্ত্রক সংস্থা নিয়ন্ত্রণযোগ্য মহলের দ্বারা প্রভাবিত হয়েছে এবং অকার্যকর হয়ে পড়েছে।
তদন্ত প্রতিবেদনের সুপারিশে বলা হয় এসইসি, ঢাকা ও চট্টগ্রাম এক্সচেঞ্জ, সিডিবিএল, বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক ও তফসিলি ব্যাংকসহ কর্মরত সরকারি কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীদের শেয়ার লেনদেন সম্পূর্ণ বন্ধ করতে হবে। চাকরিবিধিতে নিষেধাজ্ঞা অন্তর্ভুক্ত করে তা বাস্তবায়ন করতে হবে। কর্মকর্তারা নিজ নামে, স্ত্রী, সন্তান, ভাই, বোন, পিতা, মাতা অথবা বেনামিতে শেয়ার লেনদেন করতে পারবেন না। প্রমাণ হলে গুরুদণ্ডের বিধান থাকতে হবে। মার্চেন্ট ব্যাংকার, অ্যাসেট ম্যানেজমেন্ট কোম্পানি এবং ব্রোকার ডিলার কোম্পানির কর্মকর্তারা নিষেধাজ্ঞা মেনে চলবেন। সরকারি, আধা সরকারি ও স্বায়ত্তশাসিত সংস্থার কর্মকর্তারা শেয়ারে বিনিয়োগ করতে পারবেন কিন্তু প্লেসমেন্ট নিতে পারবেন না।
তদন্ত প্রতিবেদনে সরকারি কর্মকর্তাদের মধ্যে এসইসির নির্বাহী পরিচালক আনোয়ারুল কবীর ভূইয়া ও তাঁর স্ত্রী রোকসানা আখতার, আইসিবির সাবেক উপমহাব্যবস্থাপক, বর্তমানে হাউস বিল্ডিং ফাইনান্স করপোরেশনের মহাব্যবস্থাপক কফিল উদ্দিন আহমেদ, তাঁর স্ত্রী ফারজানা আকতার এবং স্ত্রীর ভাই মনসুর বিল্লাহের নামে শেয়ার ব্যবসার প্রমাণ মিলেছে।

The shareholders of Grameenphone approved the final cash dividend at 85 percent of the paid-up capital for the year ended on December 31, 2010, as recommended by the Board of Directors.
The approval was given from the 14th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Grameenphone Ltd that concluded successfully at the Bangabandhu International Convention Center (BICC) on Tuesday amidst huge participation from the shareholders.
Grameenphone Board Chairman Sigve Brekke and CEO Tore Johnsen along with other Board members, and senior officials of the company, were present on the occasion. Hossain Sadat, company secretary conducted the AGM.
GP Chairman thanked the shareholders for their trust on the company, while the CEO highlighted the operational performance of the company in their respective speeches.
The other activities of the AGM were adoption of the directors’ report and the audited financial report for 2009, election/re-election of the directors and appointment of auditors.
There was a special business agenda on the amendment of the articles of the company, which was also approved by the shareholders.
It was the second AGM of the company after enlistment with the bourses in 2009
